Happy 1st Birthday LOGAN!!! And 24th Aunt Brittney!

Happy Birthday Logan!  Shayne made a Birthday sign for Aunt Brittney and Logan.  Aunt Brittney turned 24 on the 26th.  Logan turned 1 on the 31st.

Logan LOVED the birthday cake.

Christmas Eve and a visit from Santa

Christmas Eve we were at my sister in laws place in Savage, MN.  It was a relaxing day with Rich's side of the family.  Sure wish uncle Matthew could have made it up!  Maybe next year.
Picture above is of Logan with cousin Jess

Logan just LOVES Rowdy!  She crawls over to him whenever he is laying on the ground and starts patting him.  She gets so excited when she see's him.  She also loves going after his bones, which he doesn't like too much!

Shayne getting all of the Christmas cookies and carrots ready.  Great grandma found some cool, sparkly reindeer food that Shayne could sprinkle on the lawn to attract the reindeer to Grandma and Grandpa Stenseths house.  She got all of the stockings ready and hung everyone's up in the entry way for Santa.

Shayne decorated Grandma and Grandpa's window with window markers for Christmas.  I think we have another artist in the family!  Someone is taking after her father!

The visit from Santa - Every year Santa visits the girls and brings them a snow globe from him.  The ones this year are my favorite - they don't make noise! Shayne likes to get the last three snow globes that she received from previous Christmas's and play all of the music from each snow globe at once.  No wonder why they are stored in her room for Christmas and are packaged up with everything else until the next year.
These new snow globes look pretty, change colors and are QUIET!  :)  Nice job Santa and Misses Clause

Shayne is into taking pictures of herself with the camera - I will do another posting of the collection of pictures that she took in one sitting of herself.  She's quite the goof ball!

Daddy and his girls -

Shayne saying bye to santa

Logan not wanting to give Santa a hug - but instead touch his beard.  She seemed to really take to Santa this year - lets hope that continues for the years to come.  I remember having to bribe Shayne by bringing one of her favorite duckies to hold while they took the picture.

Cousin Ryan tickling Logan - this baby is crazy ticklish - she laughs and laughs!!!

Christmas in Wisconsin

I am way behind on blogging!  Time is just flying by these days!  I wish that I had more hours in the day to get everything done.   I have made myself a huge to do list to finish by the end of the week and updating the family blog is one of the items on the list.  I'm thinking now that I should have decided to try and get this done by next Friday instead of this Friday, since I have only crossed off one item on the list..... :) Oh well!

Above is a picture of the girls at Mom and Dad's house in Menomonie, WI.  They had a lot of snow and it was FREEZING there!  The girls had a blast though and Shayne even got out on the snowmobile.
 Shayne 4, Logan almost 1
Shayne and Logan with Grandma Stenseth

This rocking chair was my Grandma Johnson's and she gave it to me when I was around 5 years old.  Mom and dad wanted to get pictures of the girls in it, but it's so hard to get both of them to smile at the same time.  Not to mention, Shayne gets a little camera crabby after a lot of pictures!  Oh well, at least we got a few of this little peanut in the chair smiling!

Grandpa Stenseth and Logan

Mom and dad let the girls open up a present early.  Logan got a play activity table that she can stand next to and play on.... she loves it!  Below is Princess Jasmine - she LOVED this costume and wore it I think every day while we were there!

Trick or Treat

Can you tell the princess kissed her?  Lovely pink lipstick!

Avery, Payton and Logan

I'm sure that you can guess by the entries, Shayne dressed up pretty much all weekend long!  Here's some pics of the girls trick or treating.  Logan was a ducky and Shayne is Belle the princess *same as last year.  It's so hard to get a picture of both of them smiling or for that matter, even looking at the camera at the same time!

Halloween Party at our house!

Eating donuts on a string contest - who can do it first
The kids in Shayne's room - Carly, Shayne, Braidie, and Oliver
What's Halloween without bobbing for apples?
We took off Logan's costume before we took the family pic - She was super baby, Shayne is spider girl, I'm cat woman and Rich, well batman of course.
All the kids playing games
The joker, construction worker and a spanish fly
We had a Halloween party with our neighbors - it was a lot of fun and very creative costumes. Our family went as super hero's - rich was Batman, I was cat woman, Shayne was spider girl and Logan was super baby. We remembered to take a family picture, but by that time, Logan was already out of costume and getting dressed for bed (why she's naked and only wearing a diaper). Our neighbor was the joker and won for best costume.

Shayne's school halloween party

Shayne was Briar Rose for her school halloween party. I took some pics of her before she left that day - can you tell that she likes to pose and get her picture taken when wearing a princess dress?? I didn't tell her to pose like that by the way.....

No desire to crawl.... but loves to stand -

Logan is 10 months now and still has no desire to crawl. She pulls herself along or rolls everywhere! If she sees a toy she wants, she rolls until she gets it by turning in a circle and then rolling towards it. She gets up on all fours, but doesn't seem interested in crawling at all! She has started pulling herself up on everything! Once she's standing, I can't get her to sit. She wants to be up at all times on her legs. Walking better not come before crawling!!!!
