Steamboat Springs

Steamboat Springs trip

Girls eating popcorn and watching a movie.  They thought this was really cool and a special treat, because we don't let them eat in the living room at home.

Beach baby!

Daddy and his girls at the base of the mountain in Steamboat.
Shayne and Rich skied for a day and had a lot of fun!

Snow Day

A fun snow day a few weeks back.  Yesterday we received another 12", but its too bad that it only lasts for about 3 days and then it melts.  We are suppose to get another storm tonight, so hopefully this will give us enough moisture to protect us from summer fires!

The girls and Bowie, our black mouth cur.

The aspen in the back of our house that a mountain lion supposedly scratched up.  You can't see the claw marks as much anymore because of the bark starting to peel off.

Logan fell and couldn't get up.  I guess the helmet is too heavy!

Easter

Easter morning
Logan really got into the whole Easter thing this year.  We woke up to the bunny leaving surprises, went to church and then participated in the church Easter egg hunt.  We have more candy in this house then we know what to do with anymore.

Reading the note from the Easter bunny

Logan found her basket on top of the Harley light.  It took her quite awhile to look up and find it.  I guess the bunny should have hid it at eye level!

So excited!

Glenwood Springs trip

I'm back!
I quit blogging for a bit, but I'm going to make every attempt to blog more often!
Here are some pictures from our recent trip to Glenwood Springs, CO.  The hot springs were great and the girls had a lot of fun.

Coconuts

When we decided that we were going to go to Mexico, and one day when Rich took Shayne to school, he said to her "what are you looking forward to the most?"  Shayne said the coconuts, coconut trees and drinking coconut milk.  So Rich was bound and determined to make it happen for her.  On the second day, he found a small coconut under a tree and Shayne was happy.... I thought that the search for coconuts was over.  Boy was I wrong.

Shayne wouldn't let that small coconut down EVER!  She carried it with her around Mazatlan, it slept by the bed, etc.  Kind of crazy I know!  On the third day, we were one our way to another resort to swim in that pool and to try and go down town.  Well, Rich started talking to the bus driver and before I knew it, the bus driver agreed to speak to his gardener friend at the resort to get her a coconut so that she could drink the milk and take one home.  We knew that she wouldn't be able to take it back to CO, but Rich was determined to let her try the milk.  We had three HUGE coconuts waiting for us when we got back that day.  Rich took out his small knife, and cut of the top.... So, Shayne got to try coconut milk.

AND LOVED IT! She was so excited for the coconuts that it deserved its own post!
